Linhleevx71:
In the basic techniques, what is the 3 supplementary exercises of Thủ Đầu Quyền?

Answer:

Each Vinh Xuan branch has its own supplementary exercises to exploit the Thủ Đầu Quyền (or Siu Nim Tao) forms. In our Vinh Xuan Ngo Gia Hoang Phap technical system, we think that Thủ Đầu Quyền is the first exercise to practise hand techniques. To exploit Thủ Đầu Quyền's techniques, we have 3 supplementary exercises:

  • The supplementary exercise #1 (Level 1): practise in one place (without moving, turning), just hand forms, no power, no sticking -> develop reaction, keep the soft hand forms inside the boby, keep balance.
  • The supplementary exercise #2 (Level 2): based on the Level 1, practise hand forms with stepping (forward-backward, left-right, ...), turning the body, no power, no sticking -> develop reaction, keep the soft hand forms inside the boby, keep balance with moving.
  • The supplementary exercise #3 (Level 3): Based on the Level 2, practise hand forms with moving, with or without power, with or without sticking -> develop reaction, keep the hand forms inside the boby, keep balance with moving, with power, with sticking.
